The last Bannock Civitan Revive @ 5 of the summer will feature Kaleidoscope live on stage beginning at 5 pm. Villano’s Italian Restaurant will have delicious food available for the evening. On Wednesday, Portneuf Valley Brewing will feature the film “Voices of Fire.” The film explores the uniqueness of the 2015 Soda Fire and its effect on the people of Idaho. Find a spot in the loft early and enjoy dinner. The film will begin at 9 pm.

First Friday Art Walk on Friday will include the installation of “The Kind Village” featuring art pieces created by local “Kind Kids.” Installation will begin at 3 pm and Art Walk will begin at 5 pm. Second time around, 701 S. 1st, will be open for Art walk on Friday and all week will be featuring a large inventory of original prints and some really great current and vintage paintings. They are offering all with a 10 percent discount. They also have a new shipment in VHS, DVD, books and some interesting kitchen ceramics along with free Popsicle’s for shoppers. Be sure to stop in and visit.

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will be open on Saturday with tons for fresh produce. Come shop the Farmers Market from 9 am to 1 pm at the Old Town Pavilion.

A Beginning Digital Photography 4 week class starts Thursday, Sept. 7, and continues on September 14, 21, and 28 at the Pocatello Art Center, 444 North Main. The classes will run from 5 to 7 pm with instructor Richard Albright. This course helps students become comfortable with their digital cameras. The Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main, is hosting a special event called “A Christian Experience,” on Friday from 5-8 pm. The art is a twenty painting series with scripture references from Born Again to Death.

It includes paintings expressing faith, hope, love and truth among others, by artist Barbara Orr. Senior Pastor Ty Orr of Salmon Idaho will be speaking on the “Uniqueness of the Christian Experience” at 5:30 pm and again at 7 pm. A reception will be held from 5-8 pm at 444 N. Main. The exhibit will be shown for the month of September. The Pocatello Art Center is open Monday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm.

Vendor registration is now open for The Great Pumpkin Festival coming to Old Town Pocatello on Saturday, Oct. 7. This new festival on Main Street will feature the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market, apple pie baking contest, pumpkin painting, antiques, crafts, jewelry, food, music and more, celebrating fall and the coming holidays. End of Summer Bash on Sept. 6! Don’t miss the last Wednesday night concert of the summer from 5-9 pm at the Old Town Pavilion. Admission is free. Live music featuring the Kyd-J Band. Great food by The Sand Trap. Cold drinks, ice cream, balloons for the kids, and more! Proceeds from beverage sales will help support the Pocatello Chiefs and their community projects.

LET’S CELEBRATE KINDNESS! We’re kicking off Kind Week on Monday Sept. 18, with a street party festival in partnership with Kind Community and Old Town Pocatello. The 3rd Annual Kick-Off Celebration will run from 5-9 pm on the East and West sides of the Center Street Underpass.The free, family-friendly event will feature live music, entertainment, activities for the entire family, food trucks and the Exhibition in KIND. The next blood drive that is being hosted at SICOG is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 28, from 9 am to 1:30 pm. The blood drive will be held at the SICOG conference room at 214 E. Center. Hope Studios, 152 N. 2nd Ave., will be hosting the “Fall In Love Market & Sale” on September 29 & 30. The two day flea market will feature 15 fun booths with the most wonderful wares: antiques, vintage, shabby chic, furniture, repurposed and upcycled goods, jewelry, games, and more!
