The January First Friday Art Walk is this Friday and we would love to see you in Old Town! From 5-8pm, don’t miss this opportunity to view and experience art by local artists as well as regional and national artists.

The walk includes over twenty businesses, restaurants and galleries, some with art on display, some with the artist on hand and some providing a live demonstration. Refreshments are always available.

You may also find live music along the way. All local residents and visitors are welcome. There is no charge to attend monthly Art Walks. Art Walk guides will be available on our web site, www.oldtownpocatello.com on Thursday.

If you can’t make it to First Friday Art Walk, we understand. Life gets busy so we’ve added another chance to experience our downtown art community and it’s called Second Chance Saturday!

Many of the locations that host artists for First Friday Art Walk will continue their monthly art celebration the Saturday following First Friday Art Walk. During regular business hours enjoy the art stroll complete with some artists on hand and refreshments along the way.

The Tasting Room located at 328 W. Clark St., is now hosting wine tasting every Wednesday. Experience five unique wines for $10. If you are a beer lover, every Thursday try four beers for $5. Wine and beer tasting at The Tasting Room takes place from 6-8 pm. Stop in this week!

Saturday night we won’t be having live music, as the Loft is reserved for a private party. The main floor will be open for dinner and drinks. And soak up some of the best in Poky’s nightlife with DJ Trivia on Monday or the Acoustic Jam Session on Tuesday, all are welcome.

The Pocatello Elks Lodge #674, 410 S. Main St., will be hosting an antique appraisal event. Do you have “Trash or Treasure” with antiques or family heirlooms you have on hand? This event will coincide with the January First Friday Art Walk on Friday. Local area antique dealers will be at the Lodge to appraise your small or medium-sized antiques.

These experienced dealers have over a collected 80 years of antiquing experience, and are affiliated with several antique stores in Pocatello and Idaho Falls. This event is for appraisals only. There will be no buying or selling of items. A charge of $4.00 will enable you to bring up to 3 items to be appraised. Please limit your items to only three to allow others to speak to the appraisers.

From the back parking lot, go down the stairs to the dining room. A new electrical chair has been installed for those needing assistance. The appraisals go from 5:00 to 7:30. Dinner may be purchased from the Lodge kitchen and selections include beef, fish and chicken. All proceeds for this event go to the many Elks charities that benefit our community youth and veterans.
