Chubbuck exchange wins regional award

CHUBBUCK — The Chubbuck Road Interchange reconstruction over Interstate 86, the state’s first Diverging Diamond Interchange design, was named western regional winner of the America’s Transportation Award in the “Under Budget, Small Project” category at the Western Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials 2014 conference in Albuquerque, N.M. The region includes 15 western states. Interstate speed limits to increase

   Traffic on Interstate 15, 84 and 86 will get a little faster beginning in August when the speed limit increases to 80 miles per hour. The speed limit for trucks will be increased to 70 mph.   Following a review of engineering and traffic safety reports, the Idaho Transportation Board approved a plan on
